The Webchat here is not the only (but the easiest) way to enter our chat. You also can use irc-clients like mIRC, vIRC, bitchx and so on. The most famous and most used is mIRC. It's even shareware, so you can use it unregistered without any restrictions.

You can download mIRC from www.mirc.com on the "Downloads" page.
Then install it and execute the mirc.exe.

On the first startup mIRC'll open its options menue. This menue is not really small, but for the beginning only the first page is important. Fill everything there ("Full Name", "Email Adress", "Nickname", "Alternative") and click on "invisible mode". You don't need to add your real name or a valid e-mail-adress - just enter something. If you're finished, just click "ok" and you'll see see mIRC status window. Now tell mIRC wich server you want to use. Therefor use the "/server" command. The servers you can use are: irc.dogmairc.de, irc.anime.de or irc.viennanetwork.at.

To establish a connection type now:
/server irc.dogmairc.de

If you are connected to the server, mIRC will open a small window with a example chat - you can close it. Then just type "/join #magu" to finally enter our channel. If you have trouble connecting to the server, try another server.
