Tuxedo Kamen / Mamoru Chiba

Tuxedo Kamen / Mamoru Chiba During the night he wanders through sleeping Tokyo, armed only with a red rose, the symbol of eternal love, wearing a mask to protect his face from the enemy’s sight.

He’s Tuxedo Kamen, the saviour of incompetent girls in short sailor suits and the master of the battle-tried evening dress.

In his former life he fought as Prince Endymion side by side with his beloved Princess Serenity. Their love, the bond between members of Moon’s and Earth’s dynasties, was forbidden. Although it was so strong, both died during the battle of Moon and Earth Kingdoms.

Now reborn as Mamoru Chiba, during his children years he loses both his parents and his memory in a car accident. The one hope in his life is now his dreams’ blurry images of passed away shadows calling him and demanding to find the Silver Crystal. He finds it with the girl named Usagi Tsukino and after much trouble both become a very happy couple, as they were during Silver Millenium.

Mamoru is the heir of the Earth Kingdom and therefore earth’s Sailor Senshi. As a Sailor Crystal he possesses the Gold Crystal, which once had been kept in Elysion by Helios.

About Nuriko

Nuriko Dear reader of these humble lines,

Now that you’ve read above all about the role that I play, let’s change the subject and talk about something really interesting: ME!

My name is Dominic, I’m a student and I’m doing cosplay since 2001. Inside the community I use the nickname of Nuriko, a character from Fushigi Yûgi that I cosplayed several times, but I belong to the few people who aren't reacting properly when called by any nickname so everyone addresses me by my real one.

When I’m not doing anything for Yume, I’m normally scurrying all around and love passionately to drive the people surrounding me insane by a never ending flow of sarcastic comments and my own foulness and wickedness. Besides I’m still studying French, History of Art and Linguistics (I can see the finish line) and when I’m not at university I'm going for badly paid stages and working as a language teacher.
During my spare time I love to read books (Shakespeare, Mann, Hesse, Mishima, Irving), watch films, go to the theatre (opera, drama, musical), do fencing and learn foreign languages. Oh yes, and I’m a Disney-maniac (The Little Mermaid) and I still reading manga from time to time. In short I am what you’d normally call a weirdo!
And now I'm in my sixth and last year at Yume and in the meantime I've become the vice-boss of this chaotic troupe. It’s almost unbelievable to think that it’s now such a long time, to me it doesn’t seem to be quite as long. After portraying the childish pirate Kerun and the very effeminate general Zoisite I'm very glad to incarnate Mr. Black Evening-Dress this year for a last time. Even if Mamoru was once some kind of a not-so-wanted choice, because I didn't want to play a vampire, I kinda grew accostumed to him.

I hope our last play will please you!
