Kraken
Legends of old tell about a kingdom on the moon many thousand years ago, a kingdom which.s splendour shone throughout the whole solar system and beyond. But here the tale of another kingdom of days long past is to be told: Artuka, an empire on the planet Earth, a great culture that at the peak of it.s might accomplished many marvellous feats of high technology and other wonders.
Up until the fateful day 5000 years ago when the comet Coatl set its course against Artuka and the earth. The planet was saved by the intervention of the moon princess, but the clash of those great powers, destroyed the kingdom and plunged it to the bottom of the sea, wiping out almost all traces of Artuka.s ever existence.
Kraken is neither a monkey-ninja, nor a magical samurai, but being an android pirate is almost as cool. (His Specs are: Brand: Artooka, Model Nr. M477, Year of Manufacturing: about 3000 BC . in good condition but warranty has run out)
Together with his fellow Androids Kerun and Serpen he is bodyguard and companion for his princess Roof Merrow, who.s well-being is pretty much his only concern.Of course for that well-being certain tasks have to be fulfilled. Apart from obligatory .getting the Silver Imperium Crystal. and .establish world domination. there are important tasks like: cooking, doing the laundry, ironing and cleaning home, ship, weapons and toilets. Even among pirates these things have to be taken care of, and probably it is Kraken to do so. But he does not mind, like any good robot designed for home keeping and combat since the obligatory naive but lovely and lighthearted mind came on-board.
Only drawback: standard attire for domestic warfare machines (short, tight French-Maid outfits) are hard to get by in his size and being rejected, due the - rare, for a design like this . male personality matrix.
About Matthes
From the history books:In the year 2002 on some little German convention called Connichi (back than it took place in infamous Ludwigshafen), a one-day visitor who was only mildly delighted by the Con and freshly traumatized by some really – let’s say – bad cosplay, heard something about “Group”, “Perform”, and “Sailor Moon Musicals” (pronounce like Austin Powers’ Dr. Evil would do with “Death Star”). He left unsure if he ever would visit another convention and thoughts along the line of: “What kind of crazy loonies are doing stuff like that?”. Well he got his answers, even thought it took some time and events to reach this point.
(things like: a lot more watch Anime and read Manga, a dozen played Japano-RPGs, thousands of pages of read Sailor Moon/ Ranma Crossovers, “being dragged” to at least 8 other conventions – 2 as official Con-Staff, one in Japan during a one-year stay – and of course meeting “the wrong people” at Heidelberg University’s Department for Japanese Studies. So much for the short version.)
I myself have had actually no training or experience with dancing or acting, except for some standard dance lessons and 5 years worth of martial arts. So I am still not sure why I actually joined. Maybe because it has been great fun so far.
When I am not doing stuff for Yume (trying to sing bearable, helping with the Script etc.) I am now studying economics engineering at Karlsruhe University (TH) and keeping other hobbies as reading, playing Videogames, pen-n-paper RPGs, a little running and swimming, trying to maintain my Japanese skills, watching Anime and increasingly other East Asian Movies and some other stuff.
